The short version …

A neighbor found his (senior-aged) parents a comfortable ranch home to rent and they were ready to move in until the landlord, who was moving out to rent it to them, changed his mind about the whole process — ON MOVING DAY!  

After turning the moving truck away, the stunned couple drove the truck back to their kids house to live until they can find another place to rent.
